Role purpose

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of fibre optic and telecoms infrastructure packages across AI and hyperscale data centre projects. This role is focused on the planning, coordination, execution, testing, and handover of fibre, structured cabling, telecoms rooms, containment interfaces, racks, cabinets, and associated network infrastructure. The Project Manager will coordinate closely with construction, M&E, commissioning, security, IT/network, commercial, and client teams to ensure the telecoms scope is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standard.

Direct data centre experience is advantageous, but we are also open to experienced fibre, telecoms, structured cabling, or network infrastructure Project Managers looking to move into the AI and hyperscale data centre sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of fibre and telecoms infrastructure packages from mobilisation through installation, testing, handover, and closeout.
  • Manage installation teams, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist vendors.
  • Coordinate fibre routes, structured cabling, telecoms rooms, racks, cabinets, containment interfaces, labelling, testing, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure work fronts are ready, including access, permits, materials, drawings, room readiness, containment, and test equipment.
  • Coordinate telecoms activities with the wider construction, M&E, commissioning, security, and network programmes.
  • Represent the telecoms scope in client, contractor, progress, and coordination meetings.
  • Identify blockers early and drive actions to maintain safe and productive field execution.
  • Ensure works are installed in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Oversee testing, inspection, defect closeout, redlines, as-builts, test records, and turnover packs.
  • Support budget tracking, change management, subcontractor progress validation, and regular project reporting.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering fibre optic, telecoms, structured cabling, network infrastructure, or comparable technical installation projects.
  • Experience managing fibre installation activities, including routing, cable pulling, containment coordination, termination, splicing, testing, labelling, and handover.
  • Strong site delivery capability, including subcontractor coordination, access planning, materials readiness, safety, quality, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to coordinate across construction, M&E, commissioning, security, IT/network, commercial, and client stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across European project sites as required.

Desirable Experience

  • Data centre, hyperscale, AI infrastructure, mission-critical, or high-performance computing project experience.
  • Experience working in live, secure, or technically complex environments.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, structured handover, and client turnover requirements.
  • Exposure to planning tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a delivery-focused Project Manager who understands how to manage fibre and telecoms work in complex construction environments. The right person will be comfortable leading field teams, managing subcontractors, coordinating technical interfaces, resolving site constraints, driving testing and quality evidence, and keeping stakeholders aligned. This is not a deep project controls role, but it does require discipline, organisation, commercial awareness, and strong field execution.

Why Apply?

  • Work on major AI and hyperscale data centre projects across Europe.
  • Lead critical fibre and telecoms infrastructure packages.
  • Build specialist experience in one of the fastest-growing areas of construction.
  • Join a dynamic international project delivery team.
  • Help deliver the physical connectivity backbone that supports next-generation digital infrastructure.

Location: Various project sites across Europe. Travel required.
