We're now looking for a Purchasing Consultant to join our busy Estate Agency team in Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with residential property experience who is looking to further develop their career within a fast‑paced and supportive environment.
About the roleAs a Purchasing Consultant, you'll support clients throughout their property buying journey, providing expert guidance, reassurance, and outstanding service from initial interest through to offer submission.
You'll be responsible for preparing and submitting offers on behalf of clients, ensuring all documentation and communications are handled accurately, professionally, and within required timescales.
Working closely with colleagues, solicitors, and clients, you'll build strong relationships and play an important role in helping buyers secure their new home.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑moving environment, has excellent attention to detail, and is passionate about property and customer service.
What you'll be doing- Preparing and submitting property offers on behalf of clients
- Supporting clients throughout the purchasing process
- Providing accurate advice and regular updates to buyers
- Managing notes of interest and offer documentation
- Liaising with solicitors, clients, and third parties
- Ensuring records and communications are maintained accurately
- Building strong client relationships through excellent service
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and management to develop knowledge and expertise
We're looking for someone who is professional, organised, and committed to delivering a high standard of client care.
You'll have previous experience within a property or legal property environment and a strong interest in developing your career within the Scottish property sector.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience working within a busy property sales or legal property team
- Understanding of the legal clauses involved in Scottish residential property purchases
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- A collaborative and positive approach to teamwork
- A genuine interest in the property marketExperience negotiating property purchases or sales
- Knowledge of the Scottish property market
- Telephone-based sales or customer service experience
- Salary between £23,250 and £30,000 depending on experience
- Monthly bonus opportunities based on individual performance
- 29 days annual leave
- Statutory pension contribution
- Ongoing training and career development opportunities
- Hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working rotational shifts of 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional weekend shifts may also be required on a rota basis.
