The Role
Based in Edinburgh, our Purchasing Consultants are responsible for submitting offers on behalf of our clients. You will offer valuable and accurate advice to clients throughout their purchasing journey. You will develop strong relationships by providing up to date advice and continual support throughout the property purchasing process. You will ensure that offers are drafted and submitted in a timely manner. You will communicate directly with clients and solicitors to ensure that notes of interest are made and that all actions are recorded appropriately. The role of Purchasing Consultant suits someone who thrives in a fast paced environment. You will work closely with your line managers and colleagues to build an in-depth knowledge of the processes surrounding property purchases. The knowledge that you gain from this role will enhance your career and open up opportunities to progress in the future.
To apply for this role it is essential that you have:
- Previous experience within a busy property sales team or legal property team;
- An understanding of the legal clauses involved in purchasing a residential property in Scotland;
- Previous work experience in a customer service environment;
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the Property sector;
- Superb written and spoken English skills;
- A desire to work as part of a close-knit team;
It is desirable that you have:
- Previous experience of negotiating property purchases or sales or gaining knowledge in the property market;
- Telephone based sales or customer service experience.

Remuneration
We can offer a competitive salary of £22,500 to £30,000 per annum, plus bonus, depending upon your experience of property sales processes. Hours of work are 35 per week, working Monday to Friday on a rotated shift basis covering 8am - 4pm or 9am to 5pm with an occasional Saturday or Sunday shift allocated on a rota basis. You will receive a monthly bonus based on hitting individual and team targets. You will also receive 29 days annual leave per annum and a statutory pension contribution.
