About Mous

We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go-to brand for products that genuinely deliver. For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real-world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world-class in-house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance-led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast-growing community around the brand.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Content Creator to take a leading role in our in-house content team. As we scale our product ranges and creative output, we need someone who can not only shoot and edit world-class content themselves but also help set the creative bar for everyone else. You'll take ownership of content franchises end-to-end, from concept through to final edit across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat, working closely with our Creative Strategy and Marketing teams to build formats that drive both engagement and performance. As part of this role, you will be front and centre on camera being the face of Mous and being part of the story.

This is a role for someone who's spent years in the weeds of short-form content, knows what performs and why, and is ready to bring that judgement to tackle bigger, higher-stakes projects, all while being on camera to tell our story.

About You

As a Senior Content Creator at Mous, you'll be a driving force behind our content output, not just an executor of someone else's brief. You'll have a strong point of view on what makes content work, the experience to back it up, and the confidence to push back or push forward when it matters. This role is ideal for someone who's hands-on and technically excellent (you shoot and edit to a high standard yourself) but also thinks like a strategist by spotting new content opportunities, owning funnels for key product categories, and mentoring junior team members along the way. You'll have real autonomy to shape ideas from scratch, the resources to execute them properly, and genuine influence over the direction of Mous' content as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit high-quality short and long-form video content across organic and paid channels, to a standard that will inspire the team.
  • Be on camera to bring your idea to content to life and tell the story.
  • Front content where it calls for it - from short-form stunts to building out a genuine long-form YouTube presence.
  • Own content franchises and funnels for key product categories end-to-end - from ideation and scripting through to final delivery.
  • Lead on creative direction for shoots, briefing and collaborating with the wider Content, Creative Strategy and Marketing teams.
  • Mentor and support junior content creators, raising the overall quality and consistency of the team's output.
  • Continuously test, learn and optimise creative to drive performance and profitability, and share those learnings across the team.
  • Identify and pitch new formats, franchises and platform opportunities before being asked.

How will success be measured?

  • Growth of new, profitable content funnels for key product categories, with clear ownership from you.
  • Increased engagement and performance across organic and paid social channels.
  • Consistent delivery of high-quality, on-brand content that drives measurable marketing results, including long-form.
  • Visible uplift in team output and skill as a result of your creative direction and mentorship.
  • Mastery of Mous' brand voice, creative process and performance-driven marketing approach.

Skills requirements:

  • Ability to be in front of the camera and tell a story through scripted content.
  • Proven ability to both shoot and edit content to a professional standard (Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve or similar) — this is a hands-on role, not a directing-only one.
  • Strong knowledge of composition, lighting and camera operation across a range of formats.
  • Several years' experience creating short-form content that has demonstrably performed, ideally for a DTC or consumer brand.
  • Strong grasp of marketing fundamentals and a track record of using content to drive conversion, not just views.
  • Experience owning a project or funnel from concept to delivery with minimal oversight.

Soft skills:

  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Sharp creative eye and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who can give and take feedback constructively.
  • Genuinely autonomous — able to prioritise, self-direct and know when to escalate.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and brings others along with them.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with After Effects and Motion Design.
  • Other Adobe Suite knowledge (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom).
  • Photography skills.
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading junior creators.
  • Experience building or growing a long-form (e.g. YouTube) content presence.
