About Mous
We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go‑to brand for products that genuinely deliver. For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real‑world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world‑class in‑house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance‑led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast‑growing community around the brand. From throwing phones off dams to launching category‑defining products, our ambition is simple: raise the standard of the industry and build one of the most effective consumer brands in the world.
About the Role
Operations is the engine that turns Mous ideas into products in customers’ hands around the world. As we scale, the quality of our decisions, and the speed we execute them, matters more than ever. As Head of Operations Performance you will work closely with the COO to bring clarity to how Operations performs and where we should focus to improve it. You will define the KPIs that matter, strengthen performance reporting, and turn complex operational data into clear insight that helps leaders make better decisions. Just as importantly, you will help turn insight into action. Working with leaders across supply chain, logistics, production, procurement, quality and customer experience, you will identify improvement opportunities and support the delivery of high‑impact initiatives. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving real operational problems and improving how organisations perform.
About You
You are an analytical operator who brings structure and clarity to complex situations. You use data to understand problems and guide decisions, but only where it leads to clear action and measurable results. You work confidently with senior stakeholders, asking direct questions and challenging assumptions when needed. At the same time, you stay pragmatic and collaborative, focused on helping teams move forward. You are comfortable in ambiguity. When problems are unclear, you define them, prioritise what matters, and drive momentum. Most importantly, you take ownership. You follow problems through to resolution and leave teams and processes in a stronger, more effective state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build performance clarity across Operations
- Define and evolve the KPI framework that measures operational performance across supply chain, logistics, production, procurement, quality and CX.
- Turn data into operational decisions
- Translate complex operational data into clear insights that inform priorities, highlight risks, and guide leadership decisions.
- Improve performance reporting
- Develop simple, trusted dashboards and reporting that allow teams and leadership to understand performance quickly and consistently.
- Drive operational improvement
- Work directly with functional leaders to identify inefficiencies, simplify processes, and improve how work flows across teams.
- Deliver cross‑functional initiatives
- Structure and support complex operational projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring improvements are embedded into day‑to‑day operations.
- Strengthen operational systems
- Support effective use of operational tools such as ERP, CX platforms, AI tools and Wrike so that systems enable — rather than slow — execution.
- Partner with Operations leadership
- Act as a trusted partner to the COO and Operations leadership team, helping prioritise work and challenge thinking where needed.
How will success be measured?
Success in this role will be visible in how clearly Operations understands its performance and how effectively it improves it. Key indicators include:
- A clear, trusted KPI framework used consistently across Operations
- High‑quality dashboards and reporting used regularly by leadership
- Measurable improvements in key operational metrics
- Successful delivery of cross‑functional operational initiatives
- Strong adoption of performance‑driven decision making across teams
- Positive feedback from operational leaders on the value of the role
Ultimately, success means the Operations team always knows how it is performing — and what it should focus on next.
Skills and experience:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with complex operational data
- Experienced in improving operational performance, not just reporting on it
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Structured, organised, and able to bring clarity to ambiguous problems
- Pragmatic and focused on delivering outcomes rather than theory
Requirements:
- 4‑8 years of experience in operations, operational performance, analytics, or transformation roles
- Strong experience building KPI frameworks and performance dashboards
- Proven ability to translate data into operational decisions
- Experience delivering cross‑functional projects or programmes
- Experience improving operational processes or workflows
- Strong analytical capability (advanced Excel and tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar)
- Experience working with operational systems such as ERP platforms
Nice to have:
- Experience in consumer products, ecommerce, or D2C businesses
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or operational improvement methodologies
- Experience implementing OKRs or performance management frameworks
- Experience working with automation or AI tools in operational environments
