Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
Working unsupervised or as part of a team, and in all weathers, the postholder will be mainly
engaged in work in the Council\βs Building Maintenance division but in general terms will be
required to carry out the following duties at play areas/amenity areas/cemeteries and other
sites as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.1 Drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles. Duties will include: vehicle checks,
required routine maintenance (eg oil and water checks) and cleaning; transport goods, equipment and personnel; assisting in the loading and unloading of vehicles using where
appropriate mechanical aids; completing of associated paperwork.
