Are you an organised finance professional with experience of e-Billing processes and a keen eye for detail?
We have an exciting opportunity for an E-Billing Officer to join our Finance team.
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the firm's revenue and collections activities by managing the submission of invoices through a range of client e-Billing platforms.
This is a varied and collaborative role that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent organisation and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
You'll report to the Senior E-Billing Officer and work closely with Revenue Controllers, Billing Coordinators, fee earners and clients to resolve billing issues, respond to queries and help ensure invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.

About the role
In this role, you'll
- Review and submit invoices through client e-Billing portals.
- Monitor acceptance and rejection notifications, working with the Revenue Manager to resolve issues.
- Monitor the shared e-Billing inbox, researching and resolving queries or forwarding them to the relevant colleagues.
- Liaise with Billing Coordinators to resolve billing setup issues affecting successful e-Bill submission.
- Monitor invoice status and short payment details in vendor systems to support collection activity.
- Create and update timekeeper rate and matter information lists for upload to client vendor systems.
- Provide assistance and cover to the Finance Department as required.
- Work with Revenue Controllers and fee earners to ensure debts are collected accurately and promptly.
- Manage e-Billing queries and respond to emails in a timely and effective manner.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries and fee earner requests.
- Act as a key point of contact for e-Billing queries within the business.
- Liaise with clients, intermediaries, partners and fee earners to progress account queries through to resolution.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of contacts at different levels.
- Identify potential issues and escalat where necessary to maximise recoveries.
About you β essential requirements
- Working knowledge of the e-Billing process and general accounting procedures.
- Experience working with e-Billing software, such as Ty Metrix 360, Legal Tracker, Counsel Link or Collaborati, is preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow firm policies and control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues at all levels in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
- Relevant education and/or a professional qualification are desirable.
- Experience operating successfully within a partnership culture and/or professional services environment.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with client facing and support departments.
- Confident and effective communicator, able to work well at all levels within an organisation.
- Ability to show initiative, sound judgement, accuracy and focus in a results driven environment.
- Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to understand and prioritise workloads.
