Are you looking to start a career in law and qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales?
Each September, we welcome aspiring lawyers on our SQE Trainee Programme in Guernsey.
Trainees will obtain the necessary two years’ hands‑on practical experience, whilst also studying for the Solicitor Qualifying Exams.
You’ll rotate between our practice groups, gaining access to a diverse range of complex and challenging work, supported by our experienced and top‑rated legal teams.
The two-year fixed term contract offers a competitive total reward package, including high quality mentorship, SQE preparation course costs, exam fees and exam/study leave.
There will be an opportunity to apply for a permanent role as an Associate upon qualification and admission as a Solicitor.

About you
- Must hold an existing right to work in Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK
- A law or non-law degree (ideally a 2:1 or higher)
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication and presentation skills
- The ability to work under pressure, often within tight deadlines
- A proactive, flexible and agile approach to work
