You will support contract management, oversee quoted/project works, monitor health & safety and quality, conduct equipment checks, and assist with job checks and sourcing materials alongside supervisors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Carpentry/Multitrade Diagnose and resolve faults across trades Maintain high standards of work quality Communicate with help desk regarding job progress, materials, and completion Support trades in delivering safe, professional maintenance Respond promptly to high-priority issues Keep clients informed about work progress and disruptions Work efficiently, minimizing non-productive time, and report difficulties Follow health & safety protocols, using risk assessments, method statements, PPE Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in safe, clean condition Accurately record work via PDA, including photographic evidence Be willing to work out of hours and participate in call-out rota KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Working Foreman Build strong relationships with client representatives and team members Quote and complete reactive tasks within scope and budget, and manage scope variations Assist with compliance and audits Conduct operative observations, quality, and equipment checks Promote health & safety culture on site Escalate serious issues to SHEQ team or Contract Manager Report accidents, incidents, near misses timely and professionally Provide out-of-hours escalation support as needed Perform other tasks as assigned by management SKILLS REQUIRED Fit & Fix Mortice Latch, Door Hanging, Lining, Rebated frames Kitchen installation, mitred worktop joints Customer-sensitive communication skills Team player, sharing lessons learned Practical health & safety approach Self-managed, organized, able to prioritize Decision-making and problem-solving skills Understanding of Mountjoy’s processes and values Adaptability to change Proficiency in MS Office and job management IT systems QUALIFICATIONS NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry Competent in two secondary skills Full driving license DBS check required before starting EXPERIENCE Over 5 years trade experience, especially in residential repairs and projects Experience in maintenance, repairs, planned works UPVC repairs, kitchen/bathroom installations, fire-door regulations knowledge Competency within your trade sphere Experience with MS Office and Outlook preferred If you believe you have the skills and experience for this role, please click “ apply ” now — we’d love to hear from you!
