We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Plumber Multi to join our dynamic regional team. This mobile role requires coverage for contracts in Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & the Isle of Wight, with potential coverage in Wider Hampshire, Horsham, Woking & Windsor. ROLE SUMMARY
We seek a conscientious and enthusiastic Regional Plumber Multi with a can-do attitude and flexibility. Responsibilities include domestic and commercial plumbing repairs for local authorities, education providers, commercial buildings, and historic sites. Tasks involve fitting sanitary ware, pipework, servicing PPM and reactive repairs, unvented systems, and minor carpentry, tiling, and decorative works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair faults across trades
- Ensure work quality meets high standards
- Support trades to deliver safe maintenance services
- Respond promptly to emergencies
- Work efficiently and cost-effectively, minimizing downtime
- Follow health & safety protocols using risk assessments, method statements, and PPE
- Work out of hours and participate in on-call rota
- Assist other contracts as directed by the Contract Manager
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Professional demeanor with residents and tenants, even in contentious situations
- Complete work thoroughly and efficiently
- Organized and proactive in managing tasks
- Practical health and safety awareness
- Problem-solving skills to determine necessary repairs
- Self-motivated with good prioritization skills
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Competent tradesperson with necessary tools
- Knowledge of technical, statutory, and legislative requirements
- Understanding of building materials and methods
QUALIFICATIONS
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plumbing
- At least 2 years’ experience in building maintenance and educational environments
- Competent in two secondary skills
- Full valid driving license
