This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.
SUMMARY OF IMPROVER ROLE
Our Electrical Improver role is ideal for individuals who have achieved an NVQ in Electrical Installation and/or completed an apprenticeship but have not yet gained the practical skills or on-site competency required to progress into a fully qualified Electrician role. You will spend the first six months working closely with an experienced Electrician who will act as your mentor, providing on-site guidance and helping you gain the skills and experience required to work independently as an Electrical Improver carrying out basic electrical work. Once you have demonstrated the required level of competence, you will begin working independently on-site for a further six-month period, during which your work and competence will be continuously reviewed. At this stage, you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence, as you will be expected to drive a company van and travel independently between sites. Following the successful completion of your training, typically after 12 months, you will progress into an Electrician role, where you will be expected to manage your work with minimal supervision.

When working in these property types you will be expected to use your skills, knowledge, experience and training to carry out the “right work at the right time” ensuring a high-quality standard of workmanship, health & safety and compliance to the Company’s processes and procedures in delivery of your work.
