Role Summary
Undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Housing and Corporate Assets stock, and support other maintenance contracts as required.
Work across PCC’s property portfolio including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums.
Use your skills, knowledge, experience, and training to carry out the \”right work at the right time\” ensuring high-quality workmanship, health & safety, and compliance with company processes and procedures.
Maintain a positive attitude, be a team player, and embrace new ways to improve yourself, the team, and service quality. Always demonstrate professionalism and high standards of customer service and care.
Key Responsibilities
- A wide variety of carpentry repairs in occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties, including fitting doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl flooring, and non-licensed asbestos removal (training provided).
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry or equivalent
Experience
- Experience in Social Housing or Building Maintenance preferred
Requirements
A full, clean current driving license is required to operate company vans.
