About the Role
Sanctuary Care provides in-home care for clients so they can enjoy living independently with a little help from us.
We have an exciting opportunity for a nurturing and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team at Sanctuary Care and provide support for our clients across Southport, QLD, on a Casual or Part-time basis.
Some of your duties may include:
- Accompanying clients during daily activities, running errands, and going on outings
- Food preparation and shopping
- Assisting in personal care and hygiene, such as showering and dressing
- Performing household tasks such as cleaning, washing, and folding clothes
- Providing social interaction and companionship
- Transporting clients to appointments
About You
The ideal candidate will ideally have:
- Hold a Certificate 3 in Individual Support or a similar qualification – essential
- Previous experience in aged care or disability – at least one year
- Hold a NDIS clearance or be willing to obtain one
- Hold a COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current Police Check or be willing to obtain one
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR or be willing to obtain one
- Own a car with relevant insurances
- Dementia care qualification – desirable
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
