Trainee Luxury Travel Consultant – £35,000pa + 10% Uncapped Commission

Full-time

The Travel Division is a high‑end luxury travel agency, working alongside our sister company Air Charter Service, to ensure that their charter customers have exclusive access to a range of ancillary products, including luxury hotels, premium cabin flights, and top‑of‑the‑range villas & yachts. Our business is all about service, and we will always go the extra mile to ensure that the time spent at the destination is as seamlessly organised and memorable as the time spent onboard one of our charter flights.

We are looking for a Trainee to join our experienced team of travel experts. This is a rare opportunity to join a high performing team at entry level, and learn the trade first hand from some of the best in the business. We\’re seeking someone who is ambitious, motivated, positive & hard working. The ideal candidate will need to be an excellent communicator, comfortable with outbound lead generation, and excited about building and developing your own portfolio from scratch.

WORKING WITHIN THE TRAVEL DIVISION

  • Working on a mixture of incoming and externally sourced leads, as well as referred private jet clients, to build a list of repeat travel customers.
  • Demonstrating an expert understanding of the most suitable travel product for each customer, and making suitable recommendations.
  • Managing travel bookings from enquiry to completion, and collaborating with other company departments to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.
  • Maintaining a “Customer First” attitude, and taking full ownership of our customers in‑destination experience, which may involve working outside of regular hours to ensure all customer trips run successfully.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with repeat clients, and pro‑actively managing your customer list through outbound sales calls, emails and visits (both face‑to‑face and virtual) to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Engaging with suppliers & partners to ensure you are able to provide the most suitable choices for the customer\’s requirements.
  • Working towards exceeding daily, monthly & annual goals linked to both productivity and financial targets, and being able to collaborate, work as part of a team, and contribute towards a wider group collective.
  • Following company procedure in a methodical and chronological way to ensure protection of both TTD and your clients.
  • Working productively in what can sometimes be a pressurised environment, and making prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks.
  • Representing the business externally at events with suppliers, customers & wider industry peers.

A successful trainee will need:

  • A high aptitude and passion for sales, with previous experience of lead sourcing, cold calling & direct selling preferred.
  • Very clear written & verbal communication skills, as well as strong numeracy skills, are a requirement.
  • A keen interest in major global destinations, travel products & in progressing a career within the Travel Industry.
  • An organised & disciplined attitude towards workload and time management, balancing multiple factors at any one time, is very important.
  • A willingness to commit to the demands of the role – including (where necessary) working outside of regular working hours to get the job done.
  • Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate with people inside and outside of both The Travel Division and the wider parent company.
  • Somebody who enjoys working to both individual and team goals / objectives, within a friendly and competitive environment.
  • Structure progression structure and 10% uncapped commission after successfully completing 6 months training
  • 22 days annual leave (increasing to 25 after 1 year service & with length of service)
  • Free daily breakfast & lunch in our office canteen \”The Hangar\”
