We are offering a rare 6-month fixed-term contract for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our accounts team here at our Surbiton HQ!

Job Description

  • Liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders to provide accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with indirect tax and corporate income tax obligations.
  • Reviewing tax calculations and returns prepared by external advisors to ensure accuracy prior to submission.
  • Performing monthly reviews of tax balances to ensure liabilities are accurately recorded and appropriately provided for.
  • Ensuring all tax filings and submissions are reviewed and completed ahead of statutory deadlines.
  • Managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors on routine matters, while maintaining effective oversight of tax registrations across jurisdictions.
  • Providing ad hoc tax advice and guidance to the business on matters such as indirect tax rules, withholding tax obligations, and treaty relief filing requirements.
  • Conducting research and preparing reports on tax frameworks and compliance requirements in new jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a tax team, preferably in an in-house role - essential
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK Tax (regime corporation tax and VAT)
  • Experience of tax regimes outside of the UK is desirable
  • Experience of working with external advisors
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Outstanding communications skills with a real can do attitude

Additional Information

Please note: this is a 6 month fixed term contract and due to the immediate needs of the business, we are only able to consider candidates who are available to start straight away or on very short notice.

22 days’ holiday per year (increasing to 25 after 1 year of service)
