Trusts and Foundations Lead

Are you seeking to use your fundraising skills to make a real difference in the local community?

Do you have the experience and passion to help Mountbatten achieve our vision and help local people to receive the very best possible end of life care?

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to lead our work on securing support from trusts and foundations, with a proven track record of achieving sustained results and growth.

Mountbatten hospice group is a leading provider of palliative and end-of-life care in the UK, delivering a wide range of innovative and award winning 24/7 services, across parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We are the largest organisation of our kind in the region, with a budget of over £20m and serving a population of over 700,000; and with a 200% growth in the number of people we are supporting in the last four years.

Fundraising, alongside retail and commercial income covers around two thirds of our annual running costs, with the remainder coming from NHS and other commissioned services.

With costs rising and income sources not always guaranteed, the role of fundraising is critical and we have ambitious plans to grow our fundraising activities to help Mountbatten continue to be there for the over 4,500 people who need our care and support every single day of the year.

You will be an experienced trust fundraiser with a proven record of writing successful applications and stewarding ongoing relationships.

You will have the ability to develop detailed and creative proposals with supporting budgets, using your written communication and research skills.

You will work collaboratively with people across Mountbatten to understand the needs of the organisation in order to develop a compelling case for each individual application.

The role will also be responsible for monitoring progress and measuring impact of each successful application, building a positive and sustained relationship with each trust to support potential future opportunities.

Mountbatten’s people actively live by a set of shared values which shape how we work and volunteer together.

You will bring a demonstrable empathy and passion for the mission and values of Mountbatten and will be part of a supportive, caring and inclusive team culture.

We also offer a competitive reward package including a range of benefits which accrue with length of service including enhanced leave, sick pay, pension and a health cash plan.

This role also has the opportunity for hybrid working, with some presence required on site.

Mountbatten is an inclusive organisation and we seek to embrace everyone within our community.

We therefore warmly encourage applications from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
