Welcome to Mountbatten Isle of Wight, the Island's community and hospice end-of-life and palliative care provider. We are seeking a Clinical Services Administrator to receive, assist and direct people at Mountbatten in person and over the phone, enabling them to access the appropriate services or healthcare professionals in a courteous, efficient and effective way. The postholder will provide a positive and friendly image to all people, either in person or via the telephone. Reporting to the Clinical Services Administration Lead, you will also provide cover for other administration duties as required and provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinical, medical and nursing staff on the Inpatient Unit and in the Community Team, managing the routine daily tasks that are essential for the effective administration of Inpatient Unit and Community services. 18 hours a week to be worked on a rota basis, six hour shifts between 8am - 8pm to include weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
Key Tasks:
- To provide a comprehensive administrative service to all visitors, patients and employees of Mountbatten.
- Act as first point of contact on main reception, greeting visitors in a professional, courteous, efficient and effective manner ensuring that they always receive a high standard of customer care.
- Answer calls into the Coordination Centre and main switchboard in a polite and professional manner, ensuring that all callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional or department.
- Process referrals into Mountbatten in a timely manner, ensuring urgent requests are given priority and directed to the relevant clinical team member.
- Input accurately into SystmOne, action tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that all information is managed in accordance with designated procedures.
