Mountainview High School offers a supportive and inclusive environment where staff and students are encouraged to thrive in all areas. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our staff as a guidance counsellor. This role will involve:

  • working with students to support their wellbeing and mental health
  • providing guidance and confidential counselling
  • liaising with staff, whānau and external providers, as necessary, as well as administration and reporting

Confidentiality and communication are vital to ensure this role is successful. This role is part-time, with hours to be negotiated. A job description is available upon request. The preferred candidate would be a member of a registered body such as the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. Police vetting is required. A Post-Graduate Diploma or Masters in Counselling are preferred but we are also open to considering social worker qualifications.
