What you’ll be doing as Pastry Chef de Partie:
- Collaborate closely with our senior kitchen team to maintain consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Oversee and manage your assigned kitchen section, coordinating daily prep schedules and ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead daily briefings for your section team to set expectations and assign responsibilities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of junior staff, focusing on essential skills such as food preparation, presentation, and efficient workflow.
- Monitor progress and assess training effectiveness, adjusting programmes as needed to ensure continuous improvement and high performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of your section to ensure compliance with internal and external hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensure that all team members strictly adhere to food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and labelling of ingredients.
- Serve as primary support to Sous Chefs during high-volume service periods, providing backup and troubleshooting as required.
- Address any issues that arise during service quickly and efficiently to maintain consistent quality.
- Maintain knowledge of our produce and suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredient selection.
- Ensure a strong understanding of food safety standards and legislative requirements to uphold a 5-star EHO rating.
