Mountain Warehouse's Channels business is a high-growth, international eCommerce operation contributing significantly to total online revenue. The team focuses on growing the Mountain Warehouse & Animal business across third-party channels (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Next) in the UK, EU, NA, and Asia-Pacific, as well as identifying & launching on new channels.
The Amazon Channel / Marketplace Manager - UK & EU is responsible for one of Mountain Warehouse's biggest channels. The Channel Manager will have complete ownership of trading & growing their channels, both topline & bottom line. They will own the channel strategy, contribute innovative ideas to drive profitable growth, streamline operations, and enhance customer experience. This is a hands-on, commercial role with autonomy and responsibility. The role requires working with multiple stakeholders across departments including IT/Tech, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Buying & Merchandising, Catalogue, and Finance.
Responsibilities include:
- Weekly reporting and data analysis to identify performance issues
- Lead trading activities to boost revenue and profitability, including optimizing bestseller performance, stock management, pricing, promotions, and working with B&M team
- Monitor & improve KPIs: Traffic, Conversion, AOV, FB Share, SKU availability
- Execute new season launches, coordinate with B&M on product development, create launch plans, define stocked lines, and ensure timely launches
- Manage P&L, contribute to budgets, and execute actions to improve profitability
- Manage FBA stock, monitor levels, forecast, and organize replenishments
- Monitor account health, escalate issues, and resolve performance problems
- Collaborate with Content team to enhance SEO and improve channel metrics
- Work with PPC team to optimize paid search strategies
- Support team tasks, develop tools/reports for efficiency
- Identify & execute growth projects, including launching new channels
- Train and develop team members
- Build relationships with stakeholders
Ideal candidate:
- 3-5 yearsβ experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, or trading roles
- Understanding of FBA & SFP
- Strong data analysis skills, proficient in Excel/SQL
- Experience with P&L and profitability
- Line management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results
- Quick learner in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and work autonomously
