Mountain is a buzzy, expansive Soho restaurant centred around the regional cookery of Catalonia and the produce of the Welsh terroir. With an atmospheric wood grill and basement vinyl bar, we value strong relationships with our farmers and growers. We take pride in ensuring our team is well informed about the exceptional ingredients we use. Our 600+ bottle wine list is industry acclaimed, alongside our Michelin star and other accolades. Our drinks offering is aligned with the kitchen ethos, using methods our chefs use whilst focusing on produce from our many fantastic suppliers. With visits to producers’ locations and guest briefings on site, we’re passionate about staff development and career satisfaction.
As a bartender at Mountain, you’ll work across the full front-of-house team, combining confident floor service with creative bar leadership. You’ll play an active role in shaping our drinks programme while developing your skills in ordering, stock management, and team training.
What you’ll be doing as Bar Supervisor:
- Bar Creativity and Seasonal Innovation: Bring a deep knowledge of traditional cocktails while developing original recipes that reflect our produce-first approach. Work closely with the kitchen and sourcing teams to align drinks with seasonal menus. Help shape our evolving drinks list and contribute ideas for specials and new offerings.
- Front of House Support and Service: Confidently deliver bar and floor service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and well looked after. Collaborate with the wider FOH team, supporting across all areas of service as needed. Contribute to a lively and respectful team environment, focused on high standards and positive energy.
- Training, Leadership and Development: Support the Bar Manager in training the wider front-of-house team in drinks knowledge and bar service. Share your skills and enthusiasm with junior team members, building a culture of learning and collaboration. Take on increasing responsibility in line with your growth and experience.
- Stock, Suppliers and Accountability: Gain hands-on experience with stock management, ordering, and accounting processes. Build strong relationships with suppliers and producers, supporting the Bar Manager in sourcing and logistics. Take responsibility for maintaining clean, organised and well-stocked bar spaces.
