Location: The Hackenthorpe Lodge SARC, South Yorkshire
Salary: £27,920.97 per annum Pro Rata based on 42 hour week. Hourly rate £12.75.
Hours Available: 24 and 36 hours.
Rota Patterns: The shifts pattern are: 9am-9pm, and 9pm-9am, you will also be able to cover days, nights, and weekends.
Main duties of the job
- 1st point of contact for service users.
- Support process of service users and their family visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collecting of forensic evidence.
- Ensuring that a high standard of DNA anticontamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
- Assisting patients and liaising with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
- Assisting with preparation, service user support and acting as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
- Be a key player within the SARC team and wider company network.

Person Specification
- IT skills and basic administration.
- Experience working in a supportive or customer focused environment.

- Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
- Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARCs, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
- Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
- This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
