- Sexual Offence Examiner - West Midlands SARC - 32 Hours
Cross-site working may be required to meet business needs.
Salary: £43,443.05 per annum, pro rata based on 40 hours per week (£20.83 per hour).
Part-time post – 32 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
- Develop forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
- Actively work in partnership with external MDTs and the Police.
- Be the first point of contact for victims, Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
- Manage and promote the self- referral pathway.
- Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
- Produce individual management plans.
- Support the continued quality improvement of the service.
- Work under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
- Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.
Essential Skills
- Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic.
- A minimum of 3 years + relevant post-qualification experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
- Lives within 45 minutes of Hodge Hill, Birmingham.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience of autonomous working.

- Travel across SARCs may be required; access to a vehicle is necessary.
- Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
