JOB SUMMARY
Mountain Healthcare provides services commissioned by the Police and NHS Health & Justice Commissioners to provide an effective forensic healthcare service across our Custody and SARC services. This role is a national role and will be part of the Mountain Healthcare Board with accountability and responsibility for the leadership of, and management of professional issues associated with the services that we provide across the organisation, and to deliver a high-quality service nationally. GMC Registration is required. Note that we cannot support International Visas as the role will require Police vetting which must have 3 years residence in the UK.

Job Opportunity
Key Leadership Responsibilities:
- Ensure Mountain Healthcare is compliant with Medical Revalidation, appraisal and performance review.
- Lead the effective management of clinical staff and ensure that they deliver safe effective and high quality care to patients.
- To adhere to and support in the maintenance of ISO 15189 and the FSR Code of Practice compliance post accreditation.
- Provide guidance on the development and implementation of a clinical education strategy.
- Lead responsibility for Clinical Governance.
- Named doctor for safeguarding for the organization and Caldicott guardian?
- Provide leadership on all matters of Infection Control and Medicines Management.
- Provide professional advice and support to the Board for the achievement of Mountain Healthcare's aims and objectives.
- Contribute to Mountain Healthcare's strategic direction and corporate plans, policies and decision-making as a member of the Board.
- Provide assurance of effective and reliable care through high standards of clinical services, patient safety and governance.
- Ensure the delivery of quality and service improvements and eliminate avoidable harm along with delivery of high operational performance.
- Ensure effective financial management practice through improved efficiency and profitability.
- Take accountability for and contribute to the development and furtherance of Governance, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Strategies.
- In addition, the role will include working in our national SARCs to support with rota coverage if needed.
Essential Skills
Essential Skills Required:
- Medical Degree & Completion of Foundation Training + 3 years at specialty trainee level
- UK full residency for minimum 3 years required for police background checks
- Membership of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine in Sexual Offence Medicine
- GMC Registered
- Experience in working in independent healthcare

- Experience in management, clinical governance, audits, safeguarding, expert witness work, Forensic Science Regulations
- An understanding of medical recruitment and training matters
- Considerable experience in clinical leadership roles
- Proven experience of clinical risk management
