We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PPC manager to join our Paid Search team at Mountain Warehouse. As the PPC Manager, you will focus on Paid Search accounts (PMAX, PPC, Display) with a yearly budget of £8m and you will be responsible for developing and executing effective PPC strategies to drive targeted traffic, increase conversions, and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) across 10 different regions and 3 brands. This is a key leadership role that requires expertise in PPC campaign management, data analysis, and team management. You will work closely with the Head of Acquisition and Retention and other senior stakeholders in the business to deliver performance and achieve set targets across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive PPC strategies across multiple channels, including Google Ads (Pmax, paid Search), Bing Ads, display, and social media advertising platforms with a £8m annual budget.
- Manage all day-to-day performance and optimization of PPC campaigns, including budget allocation, bid management, and ad creative testing to achieve desired performance metrics.
- Audit PPC accounts to find gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Analyze campaign data and performance metrics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a team of PPC specialists, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Line management of our PPC Executives; holding regular 1-2-1’s, identifying training requirements, delivering annual reviews, and setting of objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of PPC innovation and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including country trading, design, and analytics, to align PPC efforts with overall marketing objectives.
- Stay up to date with changes in the PPC landscape and emerging technologies to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prepare monthly reports (including P&L) and presentations to communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Efficiently communicate actionable analysis and execute improvements to help drive incremental conversions.
- Maintain relationships with Google & Bing account Managers & test new tools and products as they become available.

- Proven experience - a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high spend, senior PPC role, either in-house or at an agency.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale PPC campaigns and driving measurable results in terms of traffic, conversions, and revenue.
- A passion for the digital sector, e-commerce and PPC.
- Background in managing international markets with strong understanding of international market dynamics and search behaviour.
- Strong commercial awareness - comfortable using data to demonstrate ROI.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable insights and recommendations.
- Comfortable using MS Excel for data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of PPC platforms and tools, such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, and bid management platforms.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of PPC specialists.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate campaign performance and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
