Following the recent appointment of the current postholder to a Deputy Headteacher post, the Governing Body of Mountain Ash Comprehensive School invite applications for the post of Assistant Headteacher. The current brief for this post is to lead Teaching & Learning, Skills and Curriculum. If you are passionate about leading on Teaching, Learning and Skills with a clear vision for developing staff, building their expertise to deliver vibrant and engaging lessons which meet the needs of all learners, we are keen to hear from you.

We wish to appoint a candidate who has significant recent and impactful experience as a middle/ senior leader and is able to demonstrate a successful track record of learner outcomes from their leadership. As an Assistant Headteacher, you will need to be flexible and responsive to the day to day demands of the role as well as possessing the ability to think and plan strategically. Key qualities will include being a team player, with a good sense of humour and with the resilience, drive and determination to succeed as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
