Mount St Joseph is currently seeking a Cover Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi‑academy trust.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning by delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials. You will help maintain a calm, positive learning environment and support students in achieving their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes during the absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Provide support and guidance to students during lessons where appropriate.
- Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to relevant staff.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
- Assist with other school duties as required.
