Hours – 9.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday

This is a full-time on-site role based in Soho, London.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of the group. Reporting to the Financial Controller and CFO, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely and orderly bookkeeping across multiple entities. This role is well suited to someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys maintaining financial accuracy and supporting a high-quality finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for multiple group entities.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry, payment preparation, and receipt allocation.
  • Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure correct coding of transactions.
  • Support month-end closing processes, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations.
  • Assist with expense processing, employee reimbursements, and petty cash management.
  • Maintain organised financial documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers as required.
  • Support the Financial Controller and CFO with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role, with UK-based experience required.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, discreet, and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Studying towards ACCA or an equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable but not essential.
