We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Mournview Court, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern
- 6 hours per week
- 2 days a week
- 3 hours per day between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday

Role
- Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards – this includes weekly and periodic tasks.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by COSHH guidelines.
- Maintain full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
- Report immediately any faulty equipment, mark as faulty and do not use.
- Ensure that safety signage is used appropriately at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible.
- Keep cleaning stores clean, tidy and store equipment correctly and safely at all times.
- Be knowledgeable about biohazard cleaning – handling bodily fluids such as blood, faeces or vomit that can carry infectious diseases including hepatitis or HIV.
- Dispose of sharps safely (needles, blades).
- Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles.

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
