Cleaning Operative – Woven House Duke Street, Derry/Londonderry

Mount Charles Group is one of the largest privately owned soft facilities management, catering and ancillary service providers in Ireland.

Working Pattern: 15 Hours per Week (Monday – Friday, 3 Hours per Day)

The Role:

  • Provide the highest level of housekeeping and cleaning service within your area in line with client specifications.
  • Respond positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out duties professionally and courteously.
  • Provide a range of general cleaning services to include offices, meeting rooms, toilets, showers, laboratories and amenity areas site-wide.
  • Ensure all stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility.
  • Carry out regular checks of equipment and machines during working hours and leave all equipment clean and in good working order; report any defects to your Line Manager.
  • Participate in the health and safety policy of the company and report any dangers, near misses or hazards to your Line Manager.
  • Present all offices, toilets and amenity areas in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards.
  • Comply with all HACCP regulations where necessary.
  • Follow procedures for the correct handling and use of all cleaning materials.

The Person:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors an advantage but not essential.
  • Previous work experience in customer service employment.
  • Basic statutory training: candidates must have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety instructions and communicate with customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
