Working Pattern:

  • 30 hours per week
  • 3 working days out of 7
  • Week 1 – Sat, Sun, and Mon
  • Week 2 – Fri, Tue and Wed
  • 8:00 am – 6:30 pm

The Role:

  • Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service consistently.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
  • Complete any administration recording of food temperatures and HACCP documentation.
  • Report defective equipment, utensils, or work and floor surfaces to the line manager.
  • In the absence of the unit manager, complete bookkeeping procedures in line with company requirements.
  • Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure all food is labelled correctly.
  • Carry out cleaning duties as required by the unit manager.

The Person:

  • Previous culinary experience.
  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually.
  • Previous experience working in a contract catering environment.
  • NVQ level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or above.
  • Basic statutory training: reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
