We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Specialist Cleaning and Waste Disposal Operative to join our team based at Radius, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 6am-2pm

The Role:

  • Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health guidelines
  • Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
  • Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
  • Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriately at all times
  • Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely
  • Be knowledgeable in 'biohazard', or biological hazard; we work in environments that may involve the cleaning of bodily fluids such as blood, faeces or vomit that can carry infectious diseases including hepatitis or HIV.
  • Safe disposal of sharps such as needles and blades
  • Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles
  • Removal and disposal of large bulky waste items
  • Use of power hose for specific periods

The Person:

  • Good time-management skills
  • Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed
  • Are customer focused with a good eye for detail
  • Have a full driving licence and a method of transport
  • Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
  • Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
