We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team based at our Northern Quarter, Belfast International Airport site. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern: 35 Hours Per Week, 5 Days Out of 7, Various shift patterns between 4am - 10pm

The Role:

  • To soak, pre-wash and wash all food and beverage operating equipment to the required standard.
  • To ensure all clean equipment is placed onto assigned shelving.
  • Keep dishwashing machine and area clean and hygienic at all times.
  • To clean and mop the kitchen floor as and when required.
  • Change rubbish bags and ensure all rubbish is disposed of in the appropriate manner.
  • Clean any food and beverage areas, front and back of house to the required standard.
  • Assist the team with the smooth running of catering operation.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards.
  • Comply with all HACCP (Hazard analysis of critical control points) regulations as necessary.
  • Follow procedures as directed on the correct handling and use of all cleaning materials.
  • Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues.
  • Ensure all clothing, including footwear and personal hygiene is of the highest standards.

The Person:

  • Basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Previous food handling experience.
  • Demonstrable passion for working as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate with the team effectively.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Workable knowledge of HACCP regulations.
  • Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
