The Mount Charles Group has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and creative Head Chef to join our team at CAFRE Greenmount. Mount Charles delivers dining experiences to fuel our customers within their workplace. We understand the importance of a balanced exciting menu to nurture wellbeing, promote productivity and achieve results.
As our Head Chef, you will play a pivotal part in our dining experience. You will manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen canteen, small retail unit and Cafe. You will ensure all of our team members are providing outstanding experiences for all staff and clients on site. You will be consistently updating various components of the restaurant to keep up to date with trends and customer feedback. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your passion and knowledge for quality food for everyone to enjoy!

The Role:
- Create, innovate, organise & control the efficient and effective running of the service whilst inspiring your team.
- Plan, organise, and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the Company\’s reputation for food quality is enhanced by the clients and customers.
- Responsible for compliance with Health, Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
- Ensure commercial and financial controls are managed on a regular basis.
- Drive sales through centrally driven menu plans and promotions and ensure compliance through preferred suppliers.
- Provide high-quality service to customers and clients in line with a food service offer that applies to sector and client.
The Person:
- Experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
- Leads by example and lives our values.
- Previous experience working within a fast-paced catering/hospitality environment.
- Previous management/supervisory experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis. The post also requires proficient skills in computer literacy.
