We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team based at Northern Quarter, Belfast International Airport. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern: 35 Hours Per Week, 5 Days of Out 7, Various Shifts between 03:00 - 22:00

The Role:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques and best practices.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Contribute to the development of innovative and enticing menus that meet the preferences and expectations of our guests.
- Ensure the consistent execution of menu items, maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to implement cost-control measures without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and prepared dishes to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in food quality or presentation.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment.
The Person:
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a culinary team.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Workable knowledge of HACCP regulations.
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
