Site Manager – Internals – FTC

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and working in the Mount Anvil Delivery team.

The Role

We’re looking for a Site Manager with exceptional internal works package management experience to work on our St John’s Hill residential scheme in Clapham Junction. This is a 12-month FTC with a potential to go permanent afterwards.

In this role, you\’ll be managing 2 blocks comprising of 111 units, overseeing the full process; from completion of the frame, through first fix and all the way to handover. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Raj, you\’ll be the driving force behind our subcontractors and consultants, ensuring they meet and exceed our expectations in terms of programme and budget. You’ll need to have extensive experience in managing everything from 1st fix through to 2nd fix and completion, with knowledge of drylining, MEP, carpentry, firestopping, and light safety systems being ideal.

Our St Johns Hill scheme is unique – a 307 residential scheme which includes 2 commercial spaces, 3 blocks (up to 11 storeys), a biodiverse garden, and unique amenities (Peloton gym & Concierge). You’ll be working in a collaborative team and regularly engage with the Project Manager and Construction Director.

We’re keen on speaking to people who have exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to coordinate multiple trades. This is the final phase of a scheme that is occupied, meaning that you’ll be talking to the neighbours and building relationships as you’re out and about. You’ll be confident in managing day-to-day packages, health & safety audits with subcontractors, and ensuring all works are carried out to the highest standards.

If learning is what you’re about, this team is an ideal one to join – established, with lots of experienced people to learn from, and with a candid feedback culture. You’ll be giving and getting feedback from day one, because we think it’s the fastest way to learn and to build trust.

What we do: We’ve worked in partnership for 30 years to create outstanding places in London. We’re growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we’re raring to get started and make a difference.

Why we’re here: We’re here to pursue better, differently.

Better: One of The Sunday Times’ “100 Best Small Companies to Work For” for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes.

Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information, more direct with feedback that helps us all grow, and more rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to achieve them.

Benefits:

Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality, Income Protection Insurance, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, annual leave & Bank Holidays, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.

We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and “not my job” isn’t in our vernacular.
