We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to join the 2nd phase of our Barnsbury Estate scheme, a long-term project in joint venture with our partner Newlon Housing just around the corner from King's Cross St Pancras. You will support the team in delivering 350 homes along with the residential facilities (gym, concierge, cinema room). The scheme will be going through the Building Safety Act and therefore presents a great opportunity to learn and grow as the scheme develops across multiple phases in what will be a 10-year programme which will see the delivery of over 1100 homes.

You will play a pivotal role in managing the design process on a project that is brand new. Delivering packages such as the RC frame and landscaping, managing external consultants and coordinating 3rd parties to ensure the flow of design information through our EDMS system, Asite. You will have the ability to scrutinise tender and construction drawings to ensure quality, compliance, buildability and value as well as have a methodical approach to change control and the discharge of planning and S106 conditions. Working hand in hand with the Construction, Technical and Cost planning teams, you will be an integral part of managing the design process, through delivery and Gateway 3 design.

You will have experience in RC frame residential projects, delivering construction packages such as RC frame, external works and internal fit out either working for a developer, main contractor or an architectural practice and have experience in managing the design process through RIBA Stages 3-6 on these developments.

Ours is a high-performance culture. High performance in this role is being a great communicator, building and managing relationships with the site team, subcontractors and design consultants effectively against the project requirements. Not only having the opportunity to impact the development, but also wider operational improvements across the technical team.

This is a culture where you will be giving and getting feedback from day one, because we think it’s the fastest way to learn and to build trust. We want to be challenged by you, too – we hate unnecessary hierarchy and "my way or the highway" has no place here. So, if you’re interested in working on a new flagship scheme apply now.

We have worked in partnership for 31 years to create outstanding places in London. We are growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we are raring to get started and make a difference.

We are here to pursue better, differently. Better: One of The Sunday Times' "100 Best Small Companies to Work For" for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nation’s best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Scheme's five areas – the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS).

Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. It’s definitely not for everyone. We don’t hire know-it-alls, we hire "learn-it-alls". As our CEO, Killian, says: "We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers."

Benefits include private medical insurance for you through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more), income protection insurance to help you cope financially if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury, life assurance equivalent to four times your salary, your annual leave & Bank Holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and workplace nursery salary sacrifice, allowing you to save tax and NI on monthly nursery fees. We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and "not my job" isn’t in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career.
