We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning throughout Design Faculty.
- General faculty administration tasks.
- Monitor stock levels of materials, tools and equipment; reorder as necessary ensuring best value for money.
- Check and maintain hand tools and machinery for safe use.
- Monitor health and safety, conduct checks and arrange external servicing.
- Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Enjoy being part of a team.
- Highly organised.
- Able to work under pressure during busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions.
- Flexible.
- Experience advantageous; full training provided.
