We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning throughout Design Faculty.
  • General faculty administration tasks.
  • Monitor stock levels of materials, tools and equipment; reorder as necessary ensuring best value for money.
  • Check and maintain hand tools and machinery for safe use.
  • Monitor health and safety, conduct checks and arrange external servicing.
  • Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery.

  • Enjoy being part of a team.
  • Highly organised.
  • Able to work under pressure during busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions.
  • Flexible.
  • Experience advantageous; full training provided.
