Are you passionate about empowering young people to thrive? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to become a pivotal member of our student support team. You will be at the heart of our school community, providing day-to-day care and guidance to over 1200 students in Years 7-11. You will work within our pastoral team to foster a positive environment that drives high attendance, outstanding behaviour, and excellent student achievement. Working collaboratively with the Pastoral Leader and the wider pastoral team, you will be a proactive and visible presence, ensuring every student has the support they need to reach their full potential. Responsibilities
- Follow and support the operational processes established by the school and the Pastoral Leader to ensure high standards of behaviour, support and guidance are in place.
- Develop positive relationships with all students, with a particular focus on supporting the most challenging and vulnerable students, and their parents/carers.
- Follow a pastoral support rota to ensure students can access support at key times of the day.
- Be proactive in ensuring student adherence to school policies, challenging students and contacting parents as necessary.
- Conduct parent meetings personally relating to behaviour, attendance and/or parental concerns.
- Identify and carry out intervention with students using Restorative Approaches, conduct meetings between students, parents and staff, and produce student support plans.
Hours, Salary and Location
Grade F Point 6-7 (£25,989 - £26,403). 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday (One 3.30pm finish a week). Actual salary: £22,912 - £23,277.

Moulton School is a successful, popular and over-subscribed school on the northern boundary of Northampton. The school was graded Good in its last two Ofsted inspections and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The school holds the Restorative Services Quality Mark, with a strong student leadership programme. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake safeguarding checks, including a criminal record check via the Disclosure & Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the school.
