We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials.
Responsibilities include:
- Support of teaching and learning throughout the Design Faculty.
- General Faculty administration tasks.
- Monitoring stock levels of materials, tools and equipment, and re-ordering as necessary ensuring that 'best value for money' is obtained.
- Checking and maintenance of hand tools and machinery for safe use.
- Monitoring of Health and Safety including conducting checks and external servicing.
- Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery.
Enjoys being part of a team. Highly organised. Able to work under pressure at busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions. Can be flexible.
