We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials. Responsibilities include:

  • Support of teaching and learning throughout the Design Faculty.
  • General Faculty administration tasks.
  • Monitoring stock levels of materials, tools and equipment, and re-ordering as necessary ensuring that 'best value for money' is obtained.
  • Checking and maintenance of hand tools and machinery for safe use.
  • Monitoring of Health and Safety including conducting checks and external servicing.
  • Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery.
  • Enjoys being part of a team.
  • Highly organised.
  • Able to work under pressure at busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions.
  • Can be flexible.
