We are looking for a Support Assistant to provide a student with EHCP specialist self‑care and support during the College Day. This role is key to ensuring we provide a comprehensive supportive environment for students that promotes student wellbeing and educational success. This is a variable‑hours role and will depend on student timetables.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mobility and transport across the College site to ensure that lessons can be accessed effectively.
- Assist with personal care that may be required.
- Support the student with social/physical activities.
- Provide targeted in‑class academic support, including task differentiation, clear instructions, and encouragement to participate confidently alongside peers.
Qualifications
- Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English or GCSE grade 4 or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Personal Care Assistant.
- The ability to act as a role model to students.
- The ability to communicate to students effectively.
