We are looking for motivated General Operatives to join our Backyard team to assist with the harvesting and processing of the crop. This is a temporary position till 31st October 2026 though there may be permanent opportunities at the end of the contract.
The Position
- Assist with harvesting the produce
- Operating Swiftlift (full training will be provided)
- Processing the produce after being harvested
- Work as a team to ensure the workplace is clean and tidy
- Operate the bag tipper
- Remove produce that fails to meet required standards from the farm grader
- Label bins for forklift drivers
- Enter the back of bulkers to assist with product flow when necessary
Person specification
- Physically fit and able to carry out some manual labour tasks
- Consistently punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain safe working practices
- Willing to work flexible hours
