If you have a passion for supporting and motivating people, we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainer/Assessor to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the training strategy by the coordination and delivery of both training and assessments across the business to improve employee skills and knowledge.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Assist the L&D Coordinator in maintaining up-to-date training materials that align with company objectives and industry standards.
- Support departments with training initiatives to ensure all employees have the necessary skills for their roles, including managing refresher training when required.
- Ensure training plans are delivered on schedule, providing consistent and effective learning opportunities for all employees.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages participation and development.
- Liaise with all departments to understand daily and weekly priorities, effectively managing training workloads.
- Coordinate and manage training schedules to prevent conflicts and ensure staff availability.
- Send pre-training communications and follow-up emails to participants and managers.
- Deliver engaging assessments and re-assessments for relevant job roles.
- Provide constructive, timely feedback to help trainees enhance their performance and understanding.
- Collect and analyse participant feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of training, competencies, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all assessments and re-assessments meet BRC standards and version requirements.
- Conduct competency assessments in alignment with job descriptions.
- Support the L&D Coordinator with employee inductions as needed.
- Conduct daily agency induction checks, including right-to-work verification and ensuring all mandatory training is completed.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in training and assessment, ideally within the food industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organisational abilities, with a collaborative approach.
- Patient, approachable, and genuinely passionate about supporting others to succeed.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and LMS systems.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexible and capable of managing time and priorities effectively.
