We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Forklift Driver to support year‑round operations and peak harvest activity. You will operate forklifts and a range of site machinery to ensure safe, efficient movement of product and materials while maintaining full traceability, high safety standards, and excellent site presentation. This is a hands‑on, varied role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors and indoors, and thrives in a fast‑paced agricultural environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack produce and materials safely.
- Secure loads to protect people, buildings, machinery, and product.
- Move and stack bins, pallets, trays, big bags, and bulk materials to designated locations.
- Use ramps safely for loading and unloading trays, big bags, and produce.
- Operate telehandlers, shunters, box tippers, scissor lifts, compactors, Swift Lifts, hoppers, conveyors, and harvest machinery as required.
- Manage crop intake, product flow, loading, unloading, and waste rotation.
- Complete all required paperwork and records, including forklift checks, loading plans, intake logs, and traceability scans.
- Carry out daily and weekly equipment checks, cleaning, refuelling, greasing, and fluid top‑ups.
- Report defects immediately and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
- Maintain tidy, organised yard and waste areas, stacking bins safely at all times.
- Prepare product for outloading (boxes, bags, bulkers) and manage pallet movements.
- Support site maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, yard upkeep, and off‑site assistance when required.
- Assist other departments across site (e.g. packhouse, grader) as needed.
- Ensure safe working conditions, including salting walkways during cold weather.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance (B1) 3.5t Forklift Licence.
- 7‑tonne Forklift (B2) Licence.
- Telehandler Licence.
- Comfortable working with ramps, scissor lifts, shunters and Swift Lifts.
- Ability to judge weights, dances and stacking heights accurately.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Experience in agricultural food production or yard‑based environments.
