We are looking for a motivated and dedicated General Operative/QA to prepare and pack product to customer standards and support the Food Safety & Quality manager and site teams to ensure that appropriate policies, process checks & controls are maintained and upheld across the business.

The Position:

  • Blow, trim, peel, bag and pack onions and other product as guided by your Line Manager and as per the Company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure that the product that we pack for our customers is of the expected quality and that packaging is checked and not damaged
  • Provide QA cover as required across the shifts in the case of absence or holiday
  • Champion food safety, legality, authenticity and quality across Goldwood facility
  • Inspect the quality of raw material, working processes and finished product against customer specifications
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records related to quality control, inspections, and audits
  • Support the food safety & quality manager to ensure clear, concise policies, procedures and SOP’s are provided to the QA functions
  • Ensure that the company required product and process testing (shelf life, swab testing, product sampling & testing) are complied with
  • Conduct process and hygiene inspections and checks across the site to ensure that the company policies, procedures and standards are being maintained
  • Ensure any product or process test fails are thoroughly investigated with robust root cause investigation and implement corrective actions

  • Previous QA experience in the food industry is essential
