Overview
We are looking for an experienced forklift operator dedicated to safety, teamwork, and efficiency. The role involves transporting goods in a safe and timely manner while ensuring schedules, customer requirements, and health and safety rules are adhered to, and maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load, move, and store goods.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including forklift check sheets, loading plans, and reject forms.
- Carry out basic forklift maintenance – keeping it clean, fuelled, and in top working condition.
- Make sure pallets, trays, and bins are stacked neatly, securely, and in the right place.
- Work with care to avoid damage to goods, equipment, or the workplace.
- Report any issues or incidents straight away.
- Keep your work area clean, tidy, and safe.
- Support your team with additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- A valid Counterbalance B1 Forklift licence (essential).
- Good balance and coordination – hand, eye, and foot.
- Ability to judge weights, heights, and distances accurately.
- Flexibility to work in different temperatures depending on the season.
