The position is based in a fast-paced dispatch environment requiring picking, packing, scanning, and loading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift truck. The dispatch cold store operates at 12 degrees.

The Position

  • Pick all customer orders and load these orders to the customer
  • Navigate the company Linkfresh system and use the company hand scanners
  • Adhere to the correct stock rotation of product when collating customer orders
  • Create customer pallet labels from sales orders
  • Order transport for the relevant customer order
  • Pick orders safely and accurately (involves lifting heavy trays)
  • Scan collated pallets onto the customer trailer
  • Generate the relevant paperwork for the load dispatched
  • Liaise with the packing department to ascertain product availability
  • Carry out safety checks when operating the forklift and complete vehicle checks, reporting any faults
  • Carry out all customer stock counts

The perfect candidate

  • Team player but able to work alone without supervision when required
  • Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or handheld device
  • Ability to follow procedures and work to strict deadlines with a flexible approach
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence
  • Valid ride-on pallet truck licence
