We are looking for someone with experience of working with secondary aged children in an educational setting to supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers; give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher and maintain good order (keeping students on task so that their learning continues). The successful candidate will have an ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances. Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome. Responsibilities- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher.
- Maintain good order and keep students on task to ensure learning continues.
- Experience of working with secondary aged children in an educational setting.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly.
- Subject to an enhanced DBS check; not suitable for anyone who has been barred in any way from working with children.
- All successful applicants will also undergo medical clearance and satisfactory references.
- All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements and appropriate checks and clearances.
