Salary: Dependent on experience & qualifications, commensurate with industry standards

About Us:

Moulsford Prep School is an independent preparatory school for 370 pupils, aged 3 to 13, situated on an idyllic 30-acre site on the banks of the River Thames, near Wallingford in South Oxfordshire. Our Pre-Prep is already co-educational and our Prep School will welcome girls in Year 3 from September 2025 becoming fully co-educational by 2030. Moulsford aims to nurture the whole child, providing opportunities for each individual to develop their talents and abilities. The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an EYFS/KS1 Teacher to join Moulsford Prep School's Pre-Prep department in their state of the art purpose-built Pre-Prep from September 2025. The successful candidate will plan and deliver an outstanding EYFS/KS1 curriculum with a commitment to encouraging learning through experience for boys and girls in Reception or Year 2. This position is ideally suited to an ECT.

The Candidate:

  • Knowledge and experience:
  • Having knowledge and understanding of how young children learn through play
  • Up to date knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 curriculum and best practice
  • Previous experience of leading an EYFS/KS1 classroom (Desirable)
  • Management of support staff (Desirable)
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Good organisational skills to plan the days and respond to the different needs of the children you teach
  • The ability to inspire and enthuse young children by using resources imaginatively
  • Energy, resourcefulness, responsibility, patience and a caring nature
  • An understanding of the needs and feelings of children
  • Ability to work independently with children, as well as being able to work in the wider school team
  • An ability to inspire and lead
  • Excellent ICT skills, preferably using Tapestry, although training will be given (Desirable)
  • Keen sense of humour (Desirable)
  • Qualifications:
  • QTS - suitable for an ECT
  • EYFS or KS1 knowledge/training
